Summer’s here and the weather is warming up. That means we need more fluid to stay hydrated. This keeps our bodies working their best.
A great way to drink more water is to make it taste great! Sprucing up your water boosts flavor, and makes you more likely to sip.
Try these spritzers for a refreshing way to hydrate.
Sparkling Blood Orange Rosemary Water
Makes 4 servings

Ingredients
2 tsp raw honey
4 Tbsp water
5 small sprigs rosemary, divided
2 blood oranges (enough for ½ cup juice)
3½ cups sparkling water
8-10 ice cubes
Preparation
Over low heat, warm the water, honey, and four sprigs of rosemary. Heat for about 1 minute until fully combined. Allow to cool on the stove. Discard the rosemary.
Juice the blood oranges. In a pitcher, combine the honey mixture, blood orange juice, and sparkling water. Garnish with the remaining rosemary sprig and serve over ice.

Lemon-Ginger-Basil Spritzer
Makes 8 servings

Ingredients
¾ cup water
3 Tbsp raw honey
2- inch-piece ginger root (cut into smaller pieces)
1½ Tbsp dried sweet basil
4 Tbsp juice from one large lemon
Handful of ice cubes per serving
2 liters (about 8½ cups) sparkling water
Preparation
Place ginger and basil in a small mason jar. In a saucepan, combine water and honey. Heat until honey is completely dissolved. Pour over ginger and basil, cover, and allow to steep for 10-15 minutes.
Strain to remove basil and ginger pieces. Add lemon juice and stir. Allow to cool, label, and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
To serve, pour 2 tablespoons of mixture over ice in the bottom of a 10-ounce glass. Fill the glass with 8 ounces of sparkling water. Gently stir. Garnish as desired.

Strawberry Mint Spritzer

Ingredients
5 oz frozen strawberries
1 liter (about 4¼ cups) lemon-flavored sparkling water, chilled
6 oz pink lemonade frozen concentrate, thawed
¼ cup mint leaves, chopped
Lemon slices, garnish
Preparation
Place strawberries in a blender or food processor. Puree until smooth. In a pitcher, add in sparkling water, lemonade, and chopped mint, then stir. Add pureed strawberries to the bottom of drinking glasses or add directly to the pitcher. Pour mint/lemonade mixture on top of pureed strawberries and garnish with lemon slices.

Sparkling Mango Water

1 cup water

2 cans fruit-flavored sparkling water (such as mango, orange, or berry)
Orange slice, garnish
Preparation
Add frozen mango and water to a blender. Puree until smooth. Add ice to serving glasses. Pour pureed mango mixture into two glasses. Top with sparkling water. Garnish with an orange slice and enjoy!

Mint & Celery Soda

Ingredients
Mint leaves
1 Tbsp honey
¼ cup lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
1 lb celery stalks, washed well
Handful of ice cubes
3 cups sparkling water
Sliced lime, garnish
Preparation
In a pitcher, muddle mint, honey, and lemon juice until mint is softened. Place the pitcher under the spout of your juicer. Juice the celery into the pitcher. Strain the mixture and squeeze liquid out of mint leaves. Pour celery juice into glasses filled with ice. Top with sparkling water and garnish with lime wedge.
